Prepare the ingredients: Young Gouda, Vienna sausages, grapes, gherkins, silver onions
The Vienna sausages and cheese are cut into bite-sized pieces. The grapes are picked. Gherkins and silver onions are drained.
Skewer the ingredients: Young Gouda, Vienna sausages, grapes, gherkins, silver onions, toothpicks
Using the toothpicks, skewer the ingredients as you like (about 3 ingredients fit on a toothpick). Be sure to leave one side free so you can insert the skewers into the grapefruit later. It is helpful to place a piece of Gouda at the bottom of the skewer (for more stability) and put the other ingredients on top.
Arrange snack hedgehog: grapefruit, ready-made skewers
Place the grapefruit on a plate or board. Start inserting the skewers into the grapefruit from the bottom. Make sure to space the skewers evenly over the grapefruit.
